During my postgraduate studies, I had an opportunity to participate in the design contest of the visual identity for the Fuse Festival, organised by the charity group The Creative Youth.
Fuse Festival is the newly adopted title for the International Youth Festival, the UK’s largest multi-arts festival for people under 27 and features some of the most exciting work by emerging young artists.
Prototype of the visual identity was created with the intention to respond to the client’s requirements to appeal to the participants, but also potential visitors of the festival, which became reflected within the selection of the colour palette, typographic choices and bold design of the actual logo.
The colourful gradient variations also became the bearing graphic element of the visual identity, in order to accordingly visually communicate the actual title of the festival (Fuse- fusion).
The design prototype has been selected one of the five most successful by the contest committee.
