Keep on Dreaming is the title of the poster series designed in response to the Open Call announced by The Unfiltered Zine. The issue’s main theme- Passion, was specifically focused on dreamy, vibrant and pastel depictions of memories, the things people are passionate about or long for.
As for me, I have always been nostalgic and passionate about places, the ones I have had a chance to visit, and ones I have never traveled to but have been longing to visit one day. Through reminiscing places, I am able to re-live the experience of being present at a certain moment- recalling people, sounds, scents, emotions, and feelings I have experienced there.
I designed this series of posters with an objective to visualise my emotions and feelings that certain dreamy destinations evoke in me. Each poster depicts a destination I once visited and includes a list of random words I associate with my memories.
A pastel colour palette, typographic choices, graphic composition, and imagery take inspiration from vintage poster designs, strengthening the feelings of nostalgia and longing for the distant dreamlands.
