The process book for the project called Nádej that I completed during the Visual Grammar module during my postgraduate studies was designed to reflect the essence of the project itself.
Communicating ideas around childhood,an inner child that every adult carries within themselves even after the physical and mental transformation of maturing, to that related innocence and playfulness, were identified as the defining aspects of the final outcome comprising of badge and poster design, animation and a book. The reflective cover, with a shape of a flower structure stitched into the paperback was then selected to better capture the playful nature of the project itself.
The kettle binding was concluded to be most efficient and convinient binding technique for the book comprising of large amount of pages in order to lay flat once opened.
The modular grid system was used for the actual design of the publication’s layout with the intention to make the content logically ordered and easily accessible to the reader.
